About Us
Inspiration:
Bushprints Jewellery is inspired by the footprints of wildlife, and is created to provide animal lovers and and eco-tourists with a unique and wearable memento of a wildlife experience.
This memento does not damage the natural habitat of these animals, and allows us to take our animal footprints home with us, rather than leaving our human footprints in their natural environments.
I also make up special pieces by request of any animal or pet, in any precious metal and in any shape or size. Some of these requests have lead to an addition to our standard range, the Spotted Tail Quoll being one of the first.
And although I initially set out to only do Australian animals, many requests for other - mostly threatened or endangered species - has resulted in a "World Animals" collection.
Bushprints Jewellery engages wherever possible with zoos, wildlife sanctuaries and other conservation groups. Since 2007 10% of sales of all exclusively koala jewellery has been donated to the Australian Koala Foundation. On a frequent basis, donations are also made of specific animals and pieces to be used in fundraising events by these stockists and conservation groups.
Jewellery specifications:
The jewellery comprises a design of the footprint of the animal in sterling silver and 9 carat gold cut out in a harmonious shape. All the pieces, and the packaging art, are designed by myself.
The pieces are wholly Australian made and hand-finished, and quality is the prime consideration. We guarantee our products against defective workmanship.
